Facility Maintenance Manager II
Summary
Day Shift - Starting pay $25.00 hr
The Facility Maintenance Manager oversees a multi-shift, multi-trade maintenance department and performs hands-on maintenance activities specializing in mechanical applications. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and compliance of facility operations through effective preventative maintenance, project planning, and staff leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

- Perform hands-on maintenance functions including welding, pipe fitting, mechanical, electrical, and preventative maintenance planning.
- Manage the facility’s Preventive Maintenance (PM) system to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all plant equipment.
- Plan and schedule maintenance projects, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet production and compliance goals.
- Oversee contractor activities, ensuring completion of all safety training and required documentation.
- Direct procurement of supplies, parts, and equipment including purchasing, invoice reconciliation, and recordkeeping.
- Conduct and document daily forklift safety inspections; operate forklift when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment while upholding Clean Compliance Standards.
- Supervise and develop maintenance team members; make recommendations regarding hiring, training, scheduling, and performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- High School diploma or one year of college with specialized training in mechanical or maintenance-related fields required.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or industrial environments.
- Certified Welder, Mechanic, or Pipe Fitting certification required.
- Forklift certification required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
- Knowledge of plant mechanical and electrical systems, equipment assembly, and preventive maintenance processes.
- Strong organizational and resource planning abilities.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Additional Information
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Supervises a multi-trade maintenance team across multiple shifts.
- Makes recommendations regarding hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary to moderate activity level; includes sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Requires color determination and near visual acuity for detailed mechanical work.
- May require respirator fit testing and occasional forklift operation.
