Job Summary:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Specialist to join our Finance Operations team. This mid-level role is ideal for professionals who thrive in data-driven environments and enjoy connecting financial insights to operational impact. You’ll be responsible for managing platform-based financial data across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability for reporting and decision-making. You'll support our Corporate Group Benefits team, for a select group of firms, and your core responsibilities will include linking carrier statement revenue to policy records in Salesforce for financial reporting. You will analyze the data for accuracy, generate reports, and provide support to the firm's team members as needed. You'll liaise with the assigned Account Manager, Carriers, Finance and regional leaders.
This is a full-time position offering a remote option anywhere in the U.S. When working from home, you must maintain a private workspace to secure company equipment and correspondence; maintain high-speed internet, be present and responsive online and minimize personal interruptions during your work shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Link carrier statement revenue to policy records in Salesforce to support financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Investigate timing variances and assist with data gathering across systems and teams.
- Serve as a liaison between Finance, Accounting, Operations, Producers and Carriers to ensure data integrity and workflow alignment.
- Support onboarding of acquisitions to NFP platforms, ensuring smooth data integration and process adoption.
- Generate reports and provide ad hoc data support to stakeholders.
- Perform month-end reporting on variance across firms and carriers.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Communication Excellence: Ability to correspond clearly, concisely, and persuasively across teams, seniority levels, internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical Strength: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for data accuracy, anomalies and trends. Able to explain analysis via reports and verbally.
- Microsoft Excel: Intermediate to advanced proficiency, including pivot tables, formulas, data validation, and advanced formulas.
- Organizational Agility: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Autonomy & Initiative: Self-starter who thrives in independent work settings and takes ownership of outcomes.
- Collaboration Mindset: Comfortable working cross-functionally and building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Education and/or Experience:
- Ideally, more than 2 years of related data analysis experience. we will consider recent college graduates with a related degree and relevant internship/work experience.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, especially Salesforce is ideal.
- Experience with Smartsheet, One Note and SharePoint a plus.
- Prior experience in general accounting or finance operations is highly preferred
- Data reconciliation is required
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., Insurance, Corporate Benefits, Banking) is beneficial.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred

The base salary range for this position is $50,000-$55,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
