Regenerative California (RC) is a nonprofi t working to demonstrate the economic feasibility of a regenerative economy, starting with Monterey County as a pilot region. We collaborate across sectors to co-design solutions that address the intertwined challenges of industry, equity, and ecological health—building long-term prosperity, ecological balance, and community well-being.
About the Role
We’re seeking a highly tech-fluent, organized self-starter to provide direct administrative support to the CEO while also executing light communications work (social media, web updates, email). Position includes supporting fundraising and donor engagement efforts of Regenerative California by managing systems, maintaining accurate records, assisting with events, and ensuring timely communication with supporters. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, has experience managing a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System, and is passionate about mission-driven work.

Key Responsibilities
- Calendaring & Scheduling: Support calendar management; schedule multi-stakeholder meetings; anticipate conflicts and priorities.
- Executive Workflows: Build/maintain lightweight systems for tasks, follow-ups, and donor pipelines.
- Expense Reports & Purchasing: Track receipts, code expenses (e.g., Expensify/Concur/Amex/Citi), reconcile monthly statements.
- Meeting Prep & Notes: Prepare agendas, capture action items, circulate recaps, ensure follow-through.
- Document & Contact Management: Maintain shared fi les, templates, and contact lists; keep CRM records clean and current.
- Executive Communications: Draft/QA emails, talking points, and short memos on behalf of the CEO.
- Donor/Partner Tracking: Keep CRM/trackers up to date; log outreach, deadlines, and next actions.
- Grant & Funding Support: Maintain a simple pipeline of opportunities, milestones, and submissions.
- Event/Meeting Support: Coordinate small meetings, site visits, and community engagements.
- Social Media: Create and schedule posts (Sprout); monitor engagement; grow audiences aligned to strategy.
- Website: Light edits/updates (basic CMS skills; no heavy dev required).
- Email Marketing: Build/schedule newsletters (Campaign Monitor); maintain simple content calendar.
- Content Support: Light copy, image selection, and basic graphics (Canva or similar).
- Field Capture (as needed): Within Monterey County, take photos/quick interviews to support storytelling.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Mission alignment: Enthusiasm for Regenerative California’s mission and the ability to represent it with integrity and care.
- Communication skills: Clear, professional writing and verbal communication; comfort with donor interaction.
- Tech-Fluent: Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, plus comfortable with tools like Campaign Monitor, Sprout, Canva, expense tools (Expensify), and basic CRM.
- Administrative Excellence: 1–3+ years in executive support, operations, or fast-paced coordination roles (nonprofit, startup, or agency experience a plus).Comms Skills: Strong writing, editing, and basic visual sense; social media fluency.
- Organization & Judgment: Proven ability to prioritize, protect time, and handle sensitive information.
- Local Readiness: Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Monterey County; knowledge of the county a plus.
- Traits: Highly motivated, flexible, mission-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity and growth.
