GENERAL SUMMARY: Operate transfer tables within the department safely and efficiently.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently use correct hang patterns and hook combinations per different product.
- Load and unload product off of a moving line safely and in time allowed.
- General understanding of chemical drainage when hanging small parts.
- Applicant must understand the various E-coat programs and when used.
- Applicant must be able to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Maintain neat and organized work area to include hook racks.
- Maintain quality, safety and efficiency.
- Report labor and job data accurately.
- Complete maintenance checklist on material handling equipment daily.
- Comply with all company policies and practices as specified.
- Perform other duties within the department or plant as directed by supervision.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Complete Company forklift training and maintain license.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
SKILLS:
A good command of the English language is required, both spoken and written. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Safe and efficient forklift operation is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to physically perform essential functions of the job. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs. and frequently up to 50 lbs using safe lifting technique and with company approval. Typically requires standing on a regular basis, walking, stooping, crouching, reaching and handling frequently: and sitting, climbing and kneeling occasionally.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Frequently exposed to noise, odors, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, humid conditions. . Hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection, and gloves are required. Operation of a forklift and pallet jack is required.
