Service Manager – Modern Chevrolet of Winston-Salem, NC

Location: Modern Chevrolet, Winston-Salem, NC

Modern Chevrolet of Winston-Salem is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our leadership team. This is a key role responsible for leading a multi-line service department with a focus on profitability, efficiency, customer retention, and team development. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all Service Department operations, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
  • Maintain CSI scores at or above manufacturer standards and drive a culture of 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Build strong customer relationships and foster long-term loyalty.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to maximize dealership performance and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute a marketing plan that promotes new and repeat business.
  • Maintain positive business relationships with the manufacturer and industry partners.
  • Set clear performance goals for Service Advisors, Technicians, and support staff while providing coaching, mentoring, and accountability.
  • Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and ongoing development for department team members.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Automotive Service Manager in a dealership setting (multi-line experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on respect and employee engagement.
  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations (e.g., OSHA, hazardous waste, Right-to-Know).
  • Proven record of driving service department growth, profitability, and customer retention.
  • Commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Experience with CDK software is a plus.
