- Can work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Can handle payments and sensitive information with care and confidentiality
- Works well as part of a team and can build strong relationships with internal departments
- Prior credit control experience is ideal but not required - this role is also suitable for someone looking to take their first steps in their career, or someone who is looking to move from another phone-based role such as sales or call-centre work, with a strong existing team in place able to provide training and support.
What the Role Involves
- Contacting “early debt” clients – i.e. those with relatively recent outstanding payments – via phone and email to chase payment
- Addressing issues and queries that may be leading to late payment, escalating to the Debt Lead where necessary
- Meticulously documenting all communications and ensuring related admin is complete
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods
- Carrying out other administrative duties as required
