Job Summary
Join our compassionate care team at STRHS–Lawrenceburg! Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Tech provides essential patient care and supports daily living activities for patients on the Medical/Surgical unit. This PRN position offers a flexible schedule while contributing to a team dedicated to quality, safety, and patient-centered care.

Reports To: Director of Medical/Surgical
Status: PRN (As Needed)
 

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, and maintaining accurate intake and output records.

• Support patients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.

• Promptly report any changes in a patient’s physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked patient environment.

• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and unit projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Certifications:

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – may be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Skills:

• Strong critical thinking and communication abilities.

• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
