Position Description:
Wayzata Public Schools is currently seeking a Technology Support Specialist to act as an integral member of the Information Systems/Technical Support team, supporting the District 284 student and business information system software. The Technology Support Specialist manages the district information systems, ensures data accuracy, supports a variety of software packages, provides training and support to system users, and coordinates usage among all system users. This person is responsible for ensuring data integrity and will provide support and expertise to guide the flow of student and business information, as well as reporting, from various systems and educational applications.

Provides support to all district users of the student and business information systems.
Documents and submits data collection, required reporting to other agencies, and data analysis for the District's student and business information systems.
Works to improve administrative and academic processes by supporting the management, development, implementation, and maintenance of the District's information systems and processes.
Compiles and organizes data for the generation and reporting of elementary report cards and coordinates the implementation of secondary report cards.
Manages security levels, logins, and passwords. Reviews and communicates product updates
Troubleshoots software issues and contacts the appropriate person or organization to resolve concerns when needed.

An associate's degree is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with databases and information systems.
Strong service orientation and ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Experience working with several database types, including MS-SQL & MySQL Server, preferred.
Experience working with various APIs, including SOAP, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, and REST.
