Assists Parts Department in achieving parts goals by providing support and supervision to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely orders for our Internal and External Customers.  The Parts Correspondent Supervisor also processes customer (internal and external) orders in an accurate and timely manner utilizing various reference materials and systems.

Hourly wage range: $30 - $35 / hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides daily leadership and performance development of Parts Correspondents to ensure efficient & effective Department operations.
  • Conducts ongoing performance management and cross training of the Parts Correspondents.
  • Works closely with Management and Issues credits based on Customer disputed invoices.
  • Escalates backordered parts issues with the OEM accordingly to expedite orders.
  • Responsible for tracking departmental KPI’s and maintains accurate accounting files and metrics.
  • Develop and implements revenue growth strategies & customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Manages existing outside OEM parts accounts and prospects new clients.
  • Visits customer operations to develop and maintain relations.
  • Managing escalated concerns to ensure continued customer satisfaction.
  • Leads and develops outside PCR sales team through professional training and mentoring.
  • Maintains Best Practices and enhances existing branch SOP’s to promote competitive advantages.
  • Monitors parts ordering and material logistics to support service department and increase overall CSI.
  • Works in partnership with Inventory Analysts to maintain productive indexes and obsolescence control.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of computer such as keyboard, Microsoft Office, and ERP system.
  • Knowledge of lift truck related parts and use of the same.
  • Skilled in customer relations.             
  • Skilled in both written and oral communications within all levels of an organization both internally and externally.
  • Ability to perform research, read manuals and blueprints, and basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply reasoning.   

Education and Experience: This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).  A minimum of 3-5 years customer service experience within the material handling industry.  Prior parts phone sales and some general mechanical background required. A strong orientation to detail, organizational skills, and Leadership ability is necessary.
