Are you seeking an opportunity in facilities maintenance, completing a wide variety of tasks? This role is for you! You will obtain on the job skills including basic construction, outdoor maintenance, general building maintenance and support with special projects to ensure daily operation of a medical facility. This position will be working out of our West Des Moines office and provide support to all DMOS locations in the Des Moines metro.
As a facilities maintenance technician, you will assist in the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the company’s buildings, equipment, and other facilities. This position supports the maintenance team by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting minor issues, coordinating service requests, and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely. This position will work independently under the direction of the facilities supervisor.
Here’s What You Can Expect
- You'll be on your feet most of the day assisting with daily maintenance operations, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and help troubleshoot equipment or facility issues.
- Performing periodic and planned inspections of facilities in order to observe condition of the property and initiate repairs as needed.
- Working on small construction projects as requested. (i.e. Painting, flooring, lighting, patching).
