The Probst Group is excited to announce an opportunity within our Finance & Accounting Team. We are seeking a Procurement Manager to help support our clients and enhance the operation of our industrial wastewater treatment systems throughout the United States. This position will be based out of our headquarters in Hartland, WI.
 

Although officially established in 2008, Probst Group has been providing customized solutions to meet our clients' unique needs for over 30 years. We take pride in our extensive experience in industrial wastewater engineering and operations.


General Overview of Responsibilities

As the Procurement Manager, you will be expected to play an integral role on the Finance Team while working cross-functionally with all departments. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to ensure the acquisition of necessary goods and services aligns with company objectives and budget constraints. 
  • Build long-term relationships with vendors while ensuring they meet quality standards, delivery schedules, contractual terms, and maintain compliance. 
  • Track delivery of critical parts using Probst’s project management and accounting tools, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions, including product shortages and quality issues.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and prices with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize expenditures. 
  • Strategic oversight related to Probst Requests for Proposals (RFP), including preparation of RFP documents, review of equipment and subcontractor proposals, price analysis, negotiation of price and contract terms, and scope review. 
  • Manage defective or unacceptable goods or materials with vendors to determine the cause and take corrective and preventative action.
  • Manage warranty claims with vendors, partnering with Probst Leadership and outside legal counsel when needed.
  • Track and analyze procurement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive supplier performance and overall procurement efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

  •  Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience
  •  5+ years of experience in a related field
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills
  •  Willingness to work out of the Headquarters Office in Hartland, WI
  •  Up to 10% Travel

Preferred

  • Previous experience in engineering or wastewater industries
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM system
