Pierce County Parks and Recreation manages over 5,200 acres of open space, trails, developed and undeveloped parks.  We provide recreation programs and infrastructure in active and passive parks and trails. The department consists of three divisions: Parks and Recreation, Administration, and Resource Stewardship. Our mission is to be a leader in creating livable communities by providing opportunities for people to connect with nature, learn about sustainable practices, live healthy lifestyles, and enjoy vibrant community spaces.

Core Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Process payments for Ice Lights guests.
  • Utilize a reservation and waitlist system to manage guest check-ins and ice walker rentals, including tracking and sales.
  • Maintain flexibility to work varied hours, as operations run 7 days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years of age
  • Ability to work flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Knowledge of cash balancing and credit card processing
  • Great customer service
