Job Summary:
The Technical Support Specialist role is responsible for providing daily IT support to end users. This includes onsite and remote support, network troubleshooting, printer support, telephone support, wireless access points, and wireless devices (i.e. warehouse scanners). This also includes setting up/decommissioning employee accounts and workstations.
This position will be accountable to, and supervised by, the Chief Information Officer and local on-site Operations Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
- Level 2 break/fix support for all desktops, PC’s, iPhones/Android devices, RF scanners, and other onsite general technical hardware
- Work closely with company’s managed service provider to assist with network troubleshooting, upgrades, and installations.
- Troubleshoot basic in-house network connectivity issues
- Support business software on Laptops and Desktops.
- Support printers, scanners, and copiers
- Support users on IBM AS/400 Retalix suite and other ERP related applications.
- Must have a great sense of urgency in a 24x7 production environment.
Supplemental Job Functions:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Certified technician with 3 years’ experience in technical support.
- Supply Chain / Distribution environment experience highly preferred.
- Must work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must have solid knowledge of Windows 11 Pro.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Understanding of antivirus monitoring and identify security risks.
- Must have strong written, documentation and verbal skills
- Well organized and ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Knowledge and understanding of networks, including wireless access points, switches, and overall network topology.
- High level of customer service and providing a positive customer experience is a must.
- Must be versatile and able to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have experience working with a support ticketing system
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
Salary to commensurate with experience.
