The Lockheed Martin Space Mission Processing team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our infrastructure team. As a Network / IT Systems Engineer, you will implement and maintain several large-scale compute systems for mission-critical programs. You will have a background in systems administration, scripting, networking, and cybersecurity. This position administers information systems across multiple programs and requires the agility to solve problems and troubleshoot ad-hoc issues. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative, forward-leaning programs while working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.
Responsibilities include:
• Configure, administer, and maintain Windows and Linux systems as a Privileged User, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Harden the system to meet classified STIG compliance.
• Develop and utilize PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting languages to automate tasks and streamline operations.
• Design, deploy, and manage on-premises & cloud solutions.
• Work both independently, alongside a team, and across multiple programs to resolve complex issues and keep our systems running efficiently.
• Stand up and maintain operational, resilient systems, including NAS storage, backups, and other related infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and availability.
Selected candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance for consideration.
This is an MID-SR (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3 years of professional experience and a BS degree.
This position is contingent upon the program award expected in October/November (post shutdown).

Basic Qualifications
• Expertise in Windows and Linux system administration with an emphasis on Windows, and a proven track record of maintaining secure and performant systems
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash
• Active Security+ certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance is required for consideration
Desired skills
• Prior experience with cloud virtualization (AWS, VMWare, Citrix, etc).
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker & Kubernetes).
• Understanding of DevOps & CI/CD principles and related tools such as GitLab, Terraform, and Ansible.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
