Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate product, process, and assembly hierarchies to optimize hours per vehicle and cycle time.
• Provide design teams with inputs for Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) during early development stages.
• Define and document assembly processes considering quality, safety, delivery, and ergonomic parameters.
• Associate part, tool, and quality attributes with process definitions for efficient production planning.
• Conduct preliminary line balancing, TAKT time, and cycle time analysis.
• Design small jigs and fixtures to support assembly operations.
• Perform time studies using MTM or MOST standards (MTM certification desirable).
• Compare with previous product lines to suggest process enhancements and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Manage projects ensuring adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and innovation goals.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong background in manufacturing and process planning within the automotive assembly domain.
• Hands-on experience in Assembly Planning and Digital Validation.
• Proficiency in tools such as DELMIA V5, Process Simulate, Vismockup, Teamcenter Visualization, Human Jack, CATIA, UG/NX, AutoCAD.
• Experience in time study techniques (MTM, MOST) and process optimization.
• Knowledge of MS Office; coding skills desirable.
• Excellent understanding of vehicle assembly processes and issue resolution.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with a structured, self-driven working style.
• Experience range: 5–8 years in Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering within the automotive sector.
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
• MTM Certification and experience with digital manufacturing tools.
• Exposure to virtual manufacturing engineering, assembly sequencing, ergonomic analysis, and digital mockups (DMU).
• Knowledge of German language (business fluent).
• Experience working with global automotive projects or Daimler systems.
