Data Proofing Clerk (Permanent Full Time)

The Opportunity?

The Data Proofing Clerks provide administrative support that keeps our members' money moving to the right places at the right time. This behind-the-scenes role is responsible for processing and clearing cheques, EFTs and rejected items, conducting imaging of outgoing clearing items, balancing and posting financial transactions, and assisting with a range of other clerical assignments. You will take great pride in providing expert internal customer service, and show a commitment to lifelong learning to ensure that our members are always getting the best quality service. 

What will you do? 

Under general supervision, Data Proofing Clerks accurately process cheques and electronic transactions generated by the clearing system, manually post rejected items to members’ accounts, prepare and post returned items, complete data department clerical assignments and respond to corporate, branch and Central1 enquiries.

What will you need to succeed?

The successful candidate will have experience in data entry/administrative roles. Experience using complex computerized systems is a must-have for this position.

Nice to have?

Experience in banking. A diploma relating to business will be considered an asset.
