Indiana Farmers Insurance is currently looking for an Auto Desk Appraiser -  Claims Representative II to join our Casualty Team. The ideal candidate will reside in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio or Kentucky.

The Auto Desk Appraiser is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and/or preparing estimates for vehicle damages and reaching agreed upon repair pricing with body shops and other repair vendors. The appraisal of the vehicles will primarily be handled through digital photographs, repair shop documentation and other digital resources. Additionally, the right candidate will regularly communicate with claims adjusters, agents and customers as to inspection status and conclusions, the required repairs, negotiations and any other follow-up and problem resolution needed. Requirements

Qualifications and Responsibilities for the Auto Desk Appraiser - Claims Representative II:

• 3 years of prior automobile property damage estimating experience; prior body shop experience, a plus 
• Proficiency in auto estimating software (CCC One, Audatex, Mitchell, etc.); CCC One experience, preferred
• Familiarity with insurance claim processes and state regulations; IN, IL and/or OH jurisdiction experience, preferred
• Ability to estimate heavy duty trucks and farm equipment, is a plus
• I-CAR or ASE certification, preferred
• Demonstrating a professional, yet friendly demeanor when communicating with policyholders, claimants, and agents by phone, in writing, and in person
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record
• Bilingual, is a plus
