The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for supporting and enhancing a variety of HR functions to ensure the effective operation of our Shreveport, LA office. This role will focus on key areas such as onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, background processing, maintaining employee files, and uniform coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of state regulations and HR best practices, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships across all levels of the organization. This position plays a critical role in promoting a collaborative, compliant, and engaging workplace culture.
Compensation & Benefits:
Depending on experience, Securitas will offer an hourly rate of $24.00 per hour plus a great benefit package that includes:

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires in a small office environment.
Foster a positive workplace culture by supporting employee relations and engagement initiatives.
Provide general office HR support including uniform distribution, reception/front desk duties, training coordination, and file management.
Ensure consistent application and compliance with company policies, HR procedures, and federal/state employment laws.
Support performance management processes, including documentation, coaching, and follow-up on development plans.
Strong understanding of unemployment policies and procedures
Partner with managers to ensure alignment and adherence to HR and company policies.
Conduct fair and thorough investigations into employee concerns, complaints, and potential policy violations.
Maintain and manage required state licensing and certifications for applicable roles.
Provide day-to-day coaching and support to employees and supervisors to improve performance and resolve conflicts.
Prioritize and manage multiple HR tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Qualifications
Solid understanding of HR practices, procedures, and current labor/employment laws.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and interact effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with strong interpersonal capabilities.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound ethical judgment.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume HR environment is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; HR certification a plus (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
