Description

The Director of Facility Maintenance will oversee the day-to-day operations of facility management, housekeeping and maintenance. Responsible for all buildings comprised of the Si-Si A-Pe-Txa including the Wahzhazhe Health Center and the Osage Nation Counseling Center.  Ensures that an adequate inventory of supplies and spare parts is maintained and ensures that the facility, equipment, and facilities systems are properly serviced, cleaned, maintained and repaired. The Director will ensure compliance with and abreast of all OSHA regulations, monitor contracts and supervises all outside contractors.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years of maintenance, construction, electrical or HVAC experience
  • 2 or more years of experience in a supervisory position directing a multifunctional maintenance or construction staff
  • Willing and able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs in order to effectively utilize various equipment
  • Willing and able to be on-call for emergencies including nights and weekends
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer skills

 

General Qualifications

  • Associates degree in any field preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, electrical (assist the facilities or contract electrician), machine repair, facility layout, painting and janitorial
  • Ability to interface with all types of mechanical and construction contractors
  • Familiar with local building codes and health and safety regulations
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • General healthcare knowledge and background
  • Requires thorough knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974 and HIPPA regulations
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Si-Si A-Pe-Txa and the Osage Nation
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires a high level of problem-solving skill
  • Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Requires good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Must have a clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
