with a Used Car Desking Manager who can elevate our pre-owned performance through
precise desking, coaching, and operational excellence.

Position Summary
The Used Car Desking Manager is responsible for structuring, approving, and optimizing
every pre-owned vehicle deal at Spartan Toyota. This leader drives profitability, consistency,
and speed across the used car department—while supporting sales consultants, ensuring
compliance, and maintaining an elite customer experience. Partners closely with the Used
Car Manager, F&I;, and internet sales to achieve unit and gross targets.

Key Responsibilities
• Desk all used car deals to balance volume, gross, and CSI.
• Coach sales staff on deal presentation, trade valuation, objections, and closes.
• Analyze inventory aging/turn and pricing to keep stock fresh and profitable.
• Coordinate with F&I; and Used Car Manager for clean handoffs and accurate docs.
• Maintain digital retail integrity across pricing/specials/listings.
• Maximize gross retention while remaining market-competitive.
• Audit paperwork for accuracy and Michigan/Toyota compliance.
• Lead daily huddles and desking reviews to track KPIs and accountability.
• Produce weekly/monthly desk reports (units, front-/back-end gross, PVR).
