JOB SUMMARY:
The In-Home Safety Services (IHSS) Program with PSG supports families referred from the Winnebago County Human Services Department to maintain safety in homes where children are at risk of being removed due to abuse/neglect issues, or families who are in process towards reunification. As the Safety Services Worker, you will work closely with families to address a wide range of concerns including: safety, enhancing the parent-child relationship, parenting, household management, nutrition, safe and stable housing, service acquisition, education, employment, medical, mental health, and/or substance abuse issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE SAFETY SERVICES WORKER:
- Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
- Analyze client situations, capabilities and problems to determine services required to control safety threats.
- Create, implement, and review safety assessments and safety plans.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Conduct face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plan.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
LOCATION: Office is located in Oshkosh, WI with local travel required to meet clients within the home or other community spaces throughout the Winnebago County area, with mileage reimbursement provided.
SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; with one required evening shift per week (2:00-10:00pm) and one weekend per month.

SALARY: $21.00 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
