Vermont State University seeks a part-time instructor to teach a Printmaking course at the Castleton campus during the Spring 2026 semester on Wednesdays from
9:00-11:50 AM (January-May, 2026).
This course offers an exploration of the major forms of printmaking through a variety of techniques and media, as well as the history and technology of printmaking. Experimentation and exploration of the print as a vehicle of artistic expression will be emphasized in conjunction with the development of technical
proficiency.
A candidate for this position should hold a Master's of Fine Art degree and demonstrate professional studio practice in the field of printmaking, as well as experience teaching under-graduate level art courses.
Job Qualifications:
- Experience in a range of printmaking techniques
- Knowledge of the history of printmaking
- Previous undergraduate-level college teaching experience
Job Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in printmaking techniques
- Assign and critique printmaking projects
- Basic organization of tools and materials in the print studio
Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
