PROCESS ENGINEER I chez Pilkington

Essential Duties:

• Maintains daily records of process parameters and/or changes, and personnel records, process performance metrics (KPIs), and daily maintenance activities
• Drive FMDS daily activities and ensure supervisors/cell leads are trained to FMDS process
• Work closely with other departments to identify root cause analysis, brainstorm potential countermeasures and assist with integrating agreed upon changes
• Ensure all process changes are documented properly and training is provided to all affected team members in a timely manner
• Maintain PI records, MM Charts, TPM Audits and others as assigned
• Provide solutions to researched gaps with anticipated results
• Ensures all production processes operate in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 and IATF 16949 standards
• Manages and maintains efficient production through process and equipment trouble-shooting
• Promotes adherence to Pilkington policies related to safety, health, environment, and working conditions to insure maximum safety of employees and surrounding community
• Conducts safety, quality, 5S and similar audits as required
• Performs special projects as assigned by Production Group Leader to improve quality and/or yield, reduce cost and improve training
• Must be working on at least one operational cost saving (OCS) project at all times
• Adherence to the NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its’ Values and Principles

Qualifications Required: 

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Prior warehouse, value add/manual assembly, manufacturing, and or material handling equipment experience and basic hand tools knowledge
• Frequently required to stand and walk, and occasionally required to sit, bend, and squat
• Without assistance must be able to frequently lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighting anywhere from 1lb to 45lbs
• Working knowledge of departmental safety, quality, and operational procedures 
• Excellent attendance record
• Proficient in English language (verbal and written)
• Able to work both independently and as a team member
