The MPD Funding Coach shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. 

This position would be a part-time, as needed role.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

 

Funding Coach 85% 

  • Onboard and prepare assigned participants and their supervisors for their MPD Coaching Program. 

  • Provide direction, encouragement, and accountability to assigned participants MPD Coaching Programs (MPD Sprints and MPD 10Ks). 

  • Assess participants fundraising needs and provide accurate support to help them accomplish full funding. 

  • Lead assigned participants in weekly (or bi-weekly, depending on the MPD Coaching Program) cohort video calls following the curriculum provided. 

  • Lead weekly (or bi-weekly, depending on the MPD Coaching Program) one-to-connect video calls with individual assigned participants following the curriculum provided. 

  • Initiate additional communication as needed via phone, text, email, and video calls to motivate, equip and provide accountability as participants work towards full funding. 

  • During assigned MPD Coaching Programs, participate in regular MPD Coach Team video calls and report on cohort funding status to the MPD Coaching Manager. 

  • Provide direction and a plan for assigned participants to carry on the work of MPD post-program. 

 

Administration and Reporting 10% 

  • Review assigned participant budgets, 12 month giving summary, and contact list to understand current funding reality 

  • Create a tailored fundraising plan and realistic goals for participants to achieve full funding 

  • Complete weekly reporting required during MPD Coaching Programs 

 

Additional Responsibilities 5% 

  • Participate in Navigators on-site learning and development events, Cultural Development and Diversity trainings or other non-Navigator developmental events as appropriate. 

  • Participate in annual processes, such as the organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR), Engagement Survey, Reaffirmation of the Navigators Code of Conduct, Calling-Core Values-Vision, Statement of Faith, Driver’s Authorization and other releases as required. 

  • Participate in the annual, organizational Plan and Progress Review (PPR) process. 

  • Submit time worked on a weekly basis through the Workday Time Tracking system. 

  • Submit expense reports as needed due the 15th of each month. 

  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS  

Spiritual: Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators. Strongly grounded in the Scriptures. Knowledge of Navigator ministry and funding model required. 

Experience: At least two years of experience in raising personal support. 

Technical Knowledge & Skills: Microsoft Office proficiency. 

Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required 

Compensation Range: $18.53-29.98/hour
