P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes. IT Services can include a wide range of activities such as: software development, data management, Cloud services, IT security, network security, technical support, establishing and overseeing access rights, procuring and maintaining equipment or software, managing the infrastructure, and defining security procedures, The overall goal of IT Services is to provide technology solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and give our company a competitive advantage over our competitors.
Our IT Data group is looking for an Associate Configuration and Governance Specialist to join their team and work a hybrid schedule out of the Cincinnati office.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Governance Tasks
Leading CAB meetings
Collaborates with team members to update IT policies and procedures and ensure accuracy and business alignment.
Monitors compliance with internal controls (SMO, CMO), regulatory requirements, and industry standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
Coordinates portions of IT audits and assessments, including evidence collection, remediation tracking, and reporting.
Supports IT risk management by assisting with risk analysis and recommending mitigation steps.
Maintains documentation for IT governance processes, including policy updates, control matrices, and audit logs.
Provides basic guidance to stakeholders on governance processes and participates in training delivery.
Tracks and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to IT governance and compliance.
Config. Analyst Tasks
Analyzes business issues and defines requirements to design IT solutions that align with organizational goals.
Participates in developing and implementing automation that reduce manual processes, increasing overall operational efficiency.
Develops workflow charts and diagrams to study system capabilities and participates in writing detailed specifications.
May create end-user documentation and participate in delivering training to ensure the successful adoption of new systems.
Will develop and maintain standard reports and may assist with ad-hoc reporting to support business needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Scope of Job/ Qualifications:
The ideal applicant will have the following: strong communication skills, ability to engage stakeholders and develop business relationships, the ability to gather and analyze data to create KPIs to monitor and drive decision making, and monitor the levels of successful compliance to standards.
Knowledge of SnowFlake or SQL database usage, ServiceNow, Tableau, Power BI and other reporting platforms, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. are optimal. Understanding of change management and software development (SDLC) is beneficial.
