Location: Three Springs Farm, Rose, OK
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, including holidays. Rotates Weekends.
Hours are 8:00am – 6:00pm – Start and end times may vary.
Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.
Applicants must have no disciplinary actions within the last 6 months, a point level = 6 attendance points and 6 months in current area unless the TM is promoting, then less than 6 months in current area is allowable.

Position Summary:
- This position is responsible in assisting with supervising, supporting, and training AI Persons responsible for collecting semen and inseminating hens in chicken houses, inspecting semen to determine quality and quantity for use as well as inspection of hens for evidence of production. Other duties may be assigned.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises and assists with: Preparation for insemination process by equipment set up such as funnel/tip collection, bird platform, step stool, microscope/densimeter, etc. (10%)
 - Supervises and assists with: Retrieval and meticulous processing of males to collect semen and females to inseminate (40%)
 - Supervises and assists with: Replacing males based on fertility numbers (10%)
 - Supervises and assists with: Inspection of females for evidence of production (10%)
 - Supervises and assists with: Utilizing microscope/densimeter to determine semen quality; utilizing visual to determine semen quantity (10%)
 - Chart feed/fertility records (10%)
 
Other duties, responsibilities and activities:
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as: washing/disinfection vehicles; sanitize AI breakroom; trim beaks/vents; inventory supplies; retrieve data from hatch reports for individual fertility values; assists with scheduling for absent Team Members; properly euthanize selected or weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy (10%)
 - Lead positions must currently have and consistently maintain 4 attendance points or less.
 
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare/Safety Requirements:
- The jobsite is a bio secure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
 
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Will occasionally lift and/or move, using two Team Members, up to 35 pounds. Handles males and females daily during AI process. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor) and walk up to 2 miles; use hands to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; climbing/ladder usage; stoop/bend up to 1000 times per day; wrist movement with pipettes up to 2000 times per day; talk or hear; drive a vehicle within the farm complex. Specific vision abilities required by the job include meticulous close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
 - Tools and Equipment:
 - Chemicals commonly used: Disinfectants such as Synergize, Viorcid, Clorox Wipes, Bleach, Lysol, hand sanitizer and etc.
 - Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety goggles, safety glasses, chemical gloves, and company issued footwear are required. Ear plugs will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.
 - Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also work in hot, dry, extreme dusty, wet and cold environments.
 - Safety: Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. Team member is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
