Mobile Crisis Clinical Therapist

This part-time position provides direct care services to clients with mental illness and adjustment difficulties who are in crisis. These services are provided through the diagnostic assessment process including linkage and advocacy as necessary. This is a 12-hour day shift position with call requirements, including evening, night, and weekend rotations. Holiday rotation is also required.

Education/Experience/Other Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or a master’s in counseling. Master’s degree in social work or counseling preferred.
  • LSW/LPC required.
  •  Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness, evidence-based practices, motivational and crisis intervention skills.
  •  Must demonstrate knowledge in chronic physical health issues and needs of persons who have SPMI.
  •  Must demonstrate knowledge of care planning and care coordination in integrated health.
  •  Must demonstrate knowledge of evidence based and developmentally appropriate screening.
  •  Must establish and maintain effective working relationships. 

Primary Duties:

  • Provides prescreening for hospitalization. Responds to community locations including but not limited to hospitals, universities, and in residential settings if needed to provide crisis intervention services.
  • Obtains status and serves as a health officer in designated counties.
  • Documents all services provided and maintains records utilizing the electronic record in accordance with agency policy/procedure.
