Purpose: Five Star Bank is seeking a Technical Product Manager – Digital Banking and Automations to lead the development, enhancement and optimization of our Digital Banking platforms. This role will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that all Digital Banking-related solutions align with strategic goals, regulatory requirements, and customer experience standards. This role will also lead a dedicated team of Digital Banking System Analysts and Integration/Automation developers, guiding execution, fostering growth, and ensuring delivery excellence across the platform.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Strategic Ownership: Lead the strategic technical roadmap development, and execution of digital banking platforms (web and mobile) to deliver innovative customer experiences and banking services.
  • Roadmap Execution: Oversee the delivery of Digital Banking features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with compliance, security, and technology standards.
  • Platform Integration & Optimization: Collaborate with Technology and other product teams to integrate digital banking platforms with core banking systems, data warehouses, and third-party APIs, optimizing performance and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and data teams to ensure alignment on platform enhancements, data usage, and system requirements.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Create seamless and intuitive digital banking experiences that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data insights and analytics to drive platform enhancements and business strategies, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure digital platforms and data management practices adhere to internal Technology and Information Security standards, relevant regulatory standards, including data privacy, security, and financial regulations.
  • People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical professionals and promoting professional growth, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Innovation & Technology Trends: Position this team as a business value driver, staying updated on emerging technologies, fintech trends, and data management advancements to drive continuous improvement and innovation in digital banking and enterprise data management.
  • Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders.   Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.

Job Related Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science or related field
  • Prior Experience: 7+ years of experience in digital platform management, with a focus on digital banking, enterprise data or fintech. 3+ years of experience in leading and managing team.

Competencies:

  • Experience managing large-scale digital platforms and integrating them with core banking systems and data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance related to data management and financial services.
  • Familiarity with product management principles, including roadmap development, backlog management, and prioritization.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, data management tools, and API integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments and manage expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms (i.e.: Q2), cybersecurity standards, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to travel occasionally
  • Extensive computer usage is required.

The expected rate of pay for this position is shown above.   Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.   Market and organizational factors are also considered.  In addition to your base rate of pay and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive cash or equity-based incentives based on the role and performance.
