POSITION PURPOSE

Supports and enforces execution of the division floral merchandising plan across assigned stores. Trains, coaches, and develops store floral teams to drive sales, maintain visual standards, and ensure operational excellence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Travels to assigned stores to collaborate with Floral Department Managers and teams, sharing merchandising strategies to meet sales, margin, and labor goals.
  • Provides guidance on floral product presentation, seasonal planning, and customer service excellence.
  • Conducts store visits to evaluate floral department cleanliness, freshness, visual appeal, and compliance with company programs and standards.
  • Monitors performance metrics including floral sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor efficiency.
  • Implements and assesses merchandising plans through store visits, performance reviews, and department audits.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance outcomes.
  • Offers hands-on coaching in floral product knowledge, design techniques, seasonal trends, and marketing strategies.
  • Trains Floral Managers on department operations, inventory management, and team leadership.
  • Provides performance feedback to Store Directors regarding Floral Department Managers.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the division leadership.
SCOPE DATA
  • Responsible for multiple stores across various geographic areas (urban and rural) within one division.
  • Oversees floral operations across diverse store formats and customer demographics.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Education Level:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience Level:

  • 5+ years in grocery retail or floral industry, with strong knowledge of floral merchandising, design, and operations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Prior experience as a Floral Department Manager or Store Director preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence diverse teams.
  • Creative merchandising and visual presentation skills.
  • Analytical ability to interpret sales and labor data.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and guide teams without direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of floral care, seasonal trends, and customer preferences.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Up to 70% travel across the division.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed in both office and retail environments.
  • Frequent travel to stores for on-site evaluations and training.
  • May require standing for extended periods and handling floral products.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be available for overnight travel.
