Centurum is seeking a Senior Computer Programmer with experience providing computer engineering support for Navy systems throughout their lifecycle, analyzing and improving hardware/software performance, developing support strategies, and maintaining configuration control.

Compensation
$99,840 - $141,440 per year
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.

Centurum is seeking a Senior Computer Programmer with experience providing computer engineering support for Navy systems throughout their lifecycle, analyzing and improving hardware/software performance, developing support strategies, and maintaining configuration control.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for a wide range of computer hardware and software systems.
- Write, modify, and test complex code, forms, and scripts.
- Address and resolve software-related technical issues.
- Test new code, write operating instructions, and document all work.
- Extract information from databases using advanced techniques like data mining and write programs for data collection.
- Work with other personnel and end-users to define requirements, determine the best design approach, and develop software solutions.
- Act as a team member on large projects or potentially supervise lower-level programmers and technicians.
- Developing design changes and performing root-cause analysis on software issues that arise after a system is fielded.
- Developing and managing technical data - including software and firmware required to operate and maintain systems.
- 7 years of professional experience as a computer programmer, software development, or computer networks.
- Knowledge of Computer Science, engineering principles, and software applications
- Ability to perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot technical issues, and generate effective solutions.
- Work effectively in both individual and team environments, cooperating with cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with a field of concentration in computer science
- 10 or more years, experience working at NSWC Port Hueneme or another Navy location
- Experience creating novel approaches to migrating systems and advancing the use of AI and machine learning
