JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Director of Corporate Relations is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Corporate Relations. This position provides strategic and operational support for the Direct Markets portfolio, helping to manage over 400 high-volume, low-touch corporate accounts with a focus on maintaining relationships and driving revenue growth. The Associate Director of Corporate Relations partners with the Senior Associate Director of Corporate Relations to ensure a smooth fundraising and auditing process for the Office of Development. In addition, this role is responsible for securing, verifying, and auditing the fundraising results of third-party processed fundraising campaigns. It is essential that this role work collaboratively across departments with high diligence and superb critical thinking skills while managing a high-volume workload and producing an elevated level of quality in all work.
This role supports the goals of
- Growing and maintaining the base of support to United Way, ensuring donor database accuracy to drive correct data and analytics through corporate accounts and individuals outside the workplace.
- Increasing awareness and knowledge among prospects, donors, and other key stakeholders about the Child Well-Being Movement.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and commitment to personal/professional development.
- Two years of experience in donor development, fundraising, sales, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to work cross functionally with internal departments and with external corporate and agency partners at an elevated level. Strong written, presentation, persuasion and listening skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams. Previous experience with a customer relationship management platform or system preferred.
- Strong organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent project management skills - attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

- Use of personal vehicle required. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides strategic and operational support for the Direct Markets portfolio, helping to manage over 400 high-volume, low-touch corporate accounts with a focus on maintaining relationships and driving revenue growth. Ensuring alignment with strategic goals through effective planning, execution, and day-to-day coordination.
- Collaborate with the Senior Associate Director of Corporate Relations to streamline fundraising and auditing operations for the Office of Development.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to United Way corporate partners by proactively addressing concerns, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and offering tailored support to meet evolving needs.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments, particularly Donor Services, Accounts Receivable, and Development Officers.
- Conduct audit activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies, validates, and analyzes third-party employee campaign data ensuring accuracy and adherence to audit and compliance standards.
- Reviews incoming payments across corporate, employee, and special event gifts, aiding in timely reconciliation and accuracy for auditing by the assigned Development Officer.
- Oversees the Third-Party Processor (3PP) Report, working with all Development Officers to meet required timelines for entering mandatory data into the CRM system and remain compliant with policies and procedures.
- Manages and updates United Way of Greater Atlanta volunteer opportunities and organizational content across external third-party portals, ensuring all listings accurately reflect the most current information and initiatives to optimize visibility and community engagement.
- Handles promotional item inventory for in-person activations led by the Office of Development—this includes ordering, operating within budget parameters, and ensuring no gaps in supply.
- Collaborates with the Senior Associate Director of Corporate Relations to resolve the Office of Development’s portion of the Credit/Balance report, ensuring accuracy and adherence to audit and compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail and focus on updating corporate partner and individual donor information in compliance with CRM standards.
- Work closely with Analytics and Insight (data) team and Pledge Processing as necessary to ensure account projections and campaign results are reported timely and accurately.
- Promote collaboration, recognizing our shared goals, and regularly collaborate with colleagues within and outside of the Office of Development.
