Job Description:
DTN is seeking a Sr. Account Manager to serve as the strategic owner of key client relationships, driving long-term success and revenue growth. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to your customers—building deep partnerships, identifying new opportunities, and expanding account value through consultative cross-sell and upsell initiatives. You’ll ensure DTN’s solutions continuously align with evolving customer needs, fostering both retention and growth.
What You'll be Responsible for:
Account Ownership & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
Build strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a strategic consultant
Maintain a deep understanding of client needs, challenges, and business objectives
Build strong, meaningful Territory & Account Plans
Provide proactive recommendations, introducing new solutions that add value and drive engagement
Have a deep understanding of Agriculture
Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by delivering top-notch service and innovative solutions
Sales Growth, Cross-Selling & Upselling:
Identify the need to bring in additional DTN expertise and solution engineer resources for ongoing account expansion.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to expand account value
Conduct regular business reviews with clients to uncover unmet needs
Strategically introduce new products, services, and solutions that align with client goals
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to optimize client offerings
Negotiate contract renewals above a set threshold, ensuring continued success and profitability
Hunt for Additional Opportunities:
Continuously analyze accounts for new business opportunities, leveraging industry insights and customer feedback
Identify potential referrals, partnerships, and expansions within existing accounts
Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend solutions that differentiate DTN
What You Will Bring to the Position:
5+ years of experience in software and/or SaaS sales, account management, or B2B client relations
Proven success driving revenue growth through strategic cross-selling and upselling initiatives
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with executive-level stakeholders
Highly self-motivated with a strategic, consultative, and proactive approach to account management
Proficient in Salesforce for lead tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting
Adaptable and agile, able to thrive in a fast-changing business environment
Professional presence and a customer-first mindset in every interaction

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $78,750 and $105,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market-competitive variable pay and benefits.
