Job Summary:

Oversees education resources, programs and initiatives for the market. Ensures alignment of programs and curriculum with system standards. Collaborates with local leadership to determine market specific educational needs and desired outcomes. Provides market feedback to assist in system wide development and growth for clinical best practices and Electronic Health Record (EHR) optimization opportunities. Supervises the activities of the education staff and manages day to day functions of the department.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
  • Five years' experience as a clinical nurse in acute care: Preferred
  • One year's leadership experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Preferred

Essential Functions:

  • Cerner to implement changes
  • documents, operation manuals and reference materials for staff.
  • Provides oversight for all educational resources, activities and assigned personnel within the education department.
  • Identifies department resources and needs and develops, allocates, and evaluates the area budget.
  • Promotes the growth and development of the education staff.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
