XTIVIA: Braze Developer
Start Date: ASAP
Work Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 3-6+ Months Contract
How you will make a difference
We are seeking a skilled Braze Developer with proven experience in retail or e-commerce environments to design, build, and optimize personalized customer engagement campaigns. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in the Braze platform, a strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, and the ability to translate retail customer behavior into effective omnichannel marketing automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Development & Execution:
- Design, develop, and deploy Braze campaigns (email, push notifications, in-app messages, SMS) for targeted customer segments.
- Implement personalized customer journeys using Braze Canvas, Liquid scripting, and dynamic segmentation.
- Integrate and maintain data flows between Braze and other platforms (e.g., CDP, CRM, POS systems, and e-commerce platforms).
- Data & Analytics:
- Use event-based data, attributes, and behavioral triggers to create automated, context-aware campaigns.
- Collaborate with analytics and data science teams to evaluate campaign performance, A/B tests, and customer KPIs (CLV, retention, engagement).
- Ensure data accuracy and alignment with retail-specific metrics such as footfall conversion, average order value, and cart abandonment rates.
- Integration & Development:
- Develop and manage Braze SDK integrations across mobile and web platforms.
- Utilize APIs and custom event tracking to enrich Braze datasets.
- Work with engineering teams to optimize Braze performance within the retail tech ecosystem.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing, product, and retail operations teams to align digital engagement with in-store experiences.
- Support customer segmentation and loyalty program initiatives through Braze automation.
- Provide technical consultation on best practices for Braze configuration and campaign governance.
Requirements
What you bring to your new team
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience with Braze (or similar engagement platforms such as Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Adobe Campaign).
- Prior work in retail or e-commerce environments is highly preferred.
- Experience with REST APIs, SQL, Liquid scripting, and JSON data structures.
- Familiarity with mobile SDKs, event tracking, and customer data platforms (CDPs).
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Understanding of customer lifecycle and retail marketing automation strategies.

- Hands-on experience with Loyalty Programs, Omnichannel Campaigns, and Personalization Engines.
- Exposure to Shopify, Magento, or other retail platforms.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL tools to manage large-scale retail datasets.

This position has an expected Salary range of $70/hr All Inclusive
