This position is responsible for maintaining and /or generating a loan portfolio (approximately $10MM-$20MM) that includes mortgage, commercial and consumer loans.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Maintain and /or generate a loan portfolio with a mixture of loans that represent the local and outside markets including mortgage, commercial and consumer loans.
  2. Coordinate the Banking needs for the customers and cross sell bank products.
  3. Maintain credit quality in loan portfolio via monitoring credit files and borrowers, etc.
  4. Complete training annually and adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations, which mandate procedures to detect and prevent money laundering activities within a financial institution; this could involve tasks such as customer due diligence, assistance in suspicious activity reporting (SAR), and recordkeeping compliance. 
  5. Act as an Officer for the bank and serve on the Loan Committee, and other committees as needed.
  6. Serve as an Officer of the Bank when dealing with customers, potential customers and subordinates.
  7. Become active in civic affairs. 
  8. Work to establish a Business Development Plan.
  9. Manage past due loan accounts in their portfolio.
  10. Follow all other instructions and perform any other job-related duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  1. College degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration; or equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
  2. Minimum 5 year’s lending experience.
  3. Experience in mortgage & commercial lending, or credit analysis.
  4. Working knowledge of current banking regulations and applicable laws.
  5. Credit and/or lender training.


REQUIRED SKILLS

  1. Ability to communicate tactfully.
  2. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in confidential matters.
  3. Ability to work independently and with little supervision.
  4. Ability to cross sell bank products.
  5. Knowledge of Windows based software.
  6. Ability to use a personal computer.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to obtain a NMLS number

COMPLIANCE

The incumbent has the responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies and those regulations and policies inherent to position requirements. 



MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  2. Perceive the normal range of sounds with no less than a 40-decibel loss at 500 Hz and 2,000 Hz with or without correction.
  3. Visually identify and distinguish between various documents and currency with normal range of sight having no less than 20/40 to 20/50 vision with or without corrections.
  4. Reach and retrieve objects outside of immediate range.
  5. Raise substantial objects from lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, but requires sedentary work such as exerting up to 10 pounds of force 5% of the time and a negligible amount of force approximately 90% of the time.
