Under direct supervision, responsible for providing semi-skilled craftsmanship as a carpenter.
Responsibilities
- Performs carpentry work in the repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, walls, metal stud framing, doors, cabinets, and other structures.
- Operates power saws, hand tools, and other equipment.
- Familiar with ceiling grid, wire, and ceiling tiles.
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Assists other trades as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic shop math and ability to read a tape measure.
- Knowledge of tools and mechanical equipment.
- Skilled in use of common hand and power tools.
- Demonstrated building maintenance repair skills.
- Ability to comply with safety and environmental guidelines
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid TX Driver's License is required - must have a clear driving record.
Company
- Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire.
