Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Administrative aid with Underwriters.
- Communicates with brokers/agents to gather additional information and clarify application details.
- Assists in the review and evaluation of applications, ensuring they align with Company policies and underwriting guidelines.
- Reviews relevant data, including financial statements, property valuations, and loss histories to assist with risk assessment.
- Assists in maintaining Underwriting files, ensuring all documents and approvals are properly filed.
- Compiles reports on risk evaluations, policy statuses, and portfolio performance for underwriters and management.
- Research and may respond to questions from brokers/agents.
- Provides information to Processing that is needed to issue policies and endorsements on a timely basis.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: Associates Degree in Business, Finance, or Business Administration. In progress or related field or equivalent experience okay.
Scope of Job/Qualifications: Performs work under close supervision and technical direction. Performs standard duties utilizing often-complex processes/procedures on assignments of a routine nature. Possesses procedural knowledge and skills that enable task accomplishment. Demonstrates working knowledge of coverage and forms, provisions for policies written within the assigned territory/unit, workflow and systems. Foundational written and verbal skills. Works within standard, established authority limits.
3 days in DTLA office; 2 days work from home.
The combined salary for this position is $46.9K-$79.5K. Compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
