You will be aligned to the Automated Systems Division within JBT Marel Corporation. At JBT Marel, we use innovative technology, years of experience, and a global support system to provide customers with the right solution across their facilities. The Key Account Manager, plays a critical role in helping JBT Marel and its customers achieve their goals.  They are responsible for growing the business in their vertical, focusing on warehouse and packaging.    This includes owning the development of an industry sales plan, account plans, and the associated strategies and tactics to achieve orders and profitability goals. 
 
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Demonstrate understanding of the customer's business priorities and initiatives. Discuss relevant trends and priorities integrating industry knowledge and solution knowledge.
• Have comprehensive understanding of JBT Marel Automated Systems solutions
• Responsible for overall strategic account plans, pursuit plans, Competitive Displacement Plan and Pipeline Development Plan.
• Coordinates activities with other JBT Marel division sales efforts on a national and international level.
• Respond to RFPs, bid preparation, follow-up, negotiation and closing of sales
• Provide sales and executive management with global account updates, sales forecasts, etc.
• Accurately forecast for the current quarter and future quarters.
• Serves as the liaison between the customer and engineering and leads the development of new system proposals. 
• Assists Product Service and Support staff with the development of system expansion or enhancement proposals. 
• Builds relationships and maintains a high level of ongoing communication with key decision makers / influencers within the accounts. 
• Obtains necessary customer paperwork to finalize order entry into the JBT Marel system.  
• Works closely with all functional stakeholders
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials and campaigns
• Ability to prospect new business in existing accounts

 

 

Requirements for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or a related role.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
    • Knowledge of Salesforce, a plus.
    • Strong mechanical-electrical aptitude
    • Current valid driver’s license
    • Multi year track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
    • Proficient at establishing and maintaining relationships at multiple levels within customers’ organizations. 
    • Excellent communication skills including presentations, written, oral
    • Experience in the Warehousing, Logistics, Packaging industry
     
     
    Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
    • Process, discrete, and/or manufacturing industry knowledge / experience
    • AutoCAD and/or 3D visualization tool basic knowledge is a plus
    • Familiarity with electrification trends of the Warehousing, Logistics, Packaging industry 
     
     
    The estimated annual salary range for this role is $120,000 - $130,000 (annually) with a defined commission plan. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
     
    Travel & Location
    • This position is remote
    • You will travel up to 60-70%
    • You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
