Centurum is seeking a Computer Engineer II with experience providing computer engineering support for Navy systems throughout their lifecycle, analyzing and improving hardware/software performance, developing support strategies, and maintaining configuration control.

Education Requirements
Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics Bachelors degree with a field of concentration in computer science
Preferred Skills
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
Compensation
$95,680 - $135,200 per year
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.

Centurum is seeking a Computer Engineer II with experience providing computer engineering support for Navy systems throughout their lifecycle, analyzing and improving hardware/software performance, developing support strategies, and maintaining configuration control.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test computer hardware and software systems.
- Design and evaluate computer hardware components, including chips, circuit boards, systems, and peripheral equipment such as keyboards, modems, and printers.
- Oversee the manufacturing and installation of computer hardware and related equipment.
- Develop and implement software systems that control computers and other digital devices.
- Apply principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematics to design, test, and evaluate software applications and systems.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
- Design and develop software for various purposes, including operating systems, network distribution, and compilers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related technical issues.
- Focus on algorithm development and problem-solving beyond basic programming tasks.
- Utilize programming languages such as C, C++, and Java, with occasional use of Fortran and COBOL.
7 years of professional experience in computer design, software development, or computer networks.
Education Requirements
Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics Bachelors degree with a field of concentration in computer science
Preferred Skills
- 10 or more years, experience working at NSWC Port Hueneme or another Navy location
- Experience creating novel approaches to migrating systems and advancing the use of AI and machine learning
