Ag Expo Event Staff en McKenzie County, ND

About the Department

The Event Staff position is a temporary position that will be assisting the Ag Expo staff will all aspects necessary to operate the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with setup/tear down of events, light maintenance, cleaning, etc. This position reports to the Ag Expo Director and is located in Watford City, ND. The schedule varies upon scheduled events. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Position Duties

• Assists in setup/tear down of events as needed
• Working with the Events team in designing, promoting and executing events
• Occasional duties related to light maintenance and landscaping
• Aid in filing and bookkeeping duties
• Serve as a backup resource for cleaning necessities
• Maintain grounds, including keeping areas free of trash
• Light operation of equipment including tractors, loaders and lifts
• Other duties as assigned for business needs

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to report to Watford City, ND daily at required schedule time
• Organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Must be a self-starter and goal oriented
• Physical requirements and working conditions:
  1. Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  2. Moderate Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/ or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
