We are seeking an experienced and visionary Hospital Administrator to lead our growing hospital into its next era of excellence. What your day will look like
- Develop and execute operational and strategic plans that align with Dogwood’s long-term vision.
- Identify new opportunities for specialty service expansion and community engagement.
- Lead with collaboration, accountability, and innovation to achieve measurable growth.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments, including client services, HR, finance, and facilities.
- Implement efficient systems and workflows to enhance client and team experiences.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing, inclusive team.
- Foster an environment of trust, respect, and open communication.
- Encourage continuous learning, diversity, and collaboration throughout the hospital.
- Manage budgets, monitor performance, and implement strategies to achieve sustainable profitability.
- Analyze hospital data and KPIs to guide informed business decisions.
- Support short- and long-term financial health through responsible resource management.
- Ensure that every client experience reflects Dogwood’s values of compassion, communication, and care.
- Build strong relationships with referring veterinarians and community partners.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience: 3–5 years in a leadership role within a veterinary or healthcare environment (ER or specialty experience strongly preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Veterinary Technology, or equivalent work experience to match.
- Preferred: CVPM, RVT, MBA, or candidates pursuing Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) credentials.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
