Job Description:
This job is responsible for leading a group of team leaders and employees who develop strategies and drive analytics to understand portfolio risk, increase profitability, and optimize operational performance. Key responsibilities include setting strategic priorities for the team, identifying trends, and leading efforts to maximize risk versus return for the business unit. Job expectations include using data and analytics to solve complex problems, coaching employees, and partnering across technology, product, and risk leadership to drive performance.

The candidate will be responsible for building the target state platforms, tools, data and AI capabilities/integrations in the Consumer Bank's Client Protection (Fraud & Claims) organization, partnering with Technology. The role will enable the Fraud & Claims strategies, reporting, modeling, forecasting & operations teams to use data & insights effectively & efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the product vision, objectives, key results, success metrics, deliverables, roadmap and partner with Technology on execution.

  • May lead a team of product owners to execute the strategy, vision and roadmap.

  • Partner with Technology on Program Increment planning for product/deliverable portfolio.

  • Build (product manage) the target state data platforms in the Fraud & Claims lifecycles partnering with Technology teams - to service all use cases like reports, models, strategies, forecasting, operations - across all products and channels.

  • Manage data migrations requirements & user testing

  • Automate Data quality controls. Implement data observability

  • Build searchable data dictionaries and metadata. Build a knowledge base, ontology and searchable taxonomy for Fraud/Claims data.

  • Automate data lineage capture & maintenance.

  • Build a data marketplace for provisioning & use via a publish / subscribe model

  • Build advanced Reporting & analytics capabilities

  • Build feature stores for reports, models, strategies decision engines

  • Implement ML/NLP enabled search capabilities, pattern detection capabilities, relationship analytics, data streaming and graph capabilities.

  • Implement & integrate vendor tools & AI capabilities into the platforms

  • Enable data projects within large scale platform transformations

  • Build data security & retention capabilities.

  • Build unified UI/UX for Fraud & Claims teams

  • Build Client Protection Data Health Reporting & Metrics dashboard

  • Manage dependencies with related programs and operations teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience building platforms, data, analysis or reporting

  • 3+ years of experience with Agile, SAFe LEAN, Kanban or Scrum

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Team Lead

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal,  documentation, and presentation skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Liberal Arts (or similar disciplines)

  • Ability to work directly with senior management and executives

  • Proficient with Microsoft PPT, Excel, Visio.

  • Proficient with SQL.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree

  • 15+ years of relevant experience

  • 10+ years of experience leading large data transformations and products

  • 5+ years of experience with Agile, SAFe LEAN, Kanban, Scrum

  • 5+ years of experience in Consumer Fraud & Claims

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Leader or Sr. Product Manager

  • Prior experience building and leading an agile product team. Ability to contribute individually while building a team parallelly.

  • Prior experience executing a business strategy or user-focused data or platform exercise as an individual contributor

  • Leadership and management skills including development of team members and team culture

  • Outstanding quantitative, critical thinking, and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of Bank of America's policies, platforms, tools, teams

  • Prior experience with vendor fraud/claims tools, UX design tools like Figma

  • Prior experience with Teradata, Hadoop, SAS, Python, AWS/Azure/GCP, GQL, NoSQL, ML/NLP techniques, TigerGraph, GenAI, blockchain, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka.

  • Prior experience with DQ tools, metadata tools, data security tools.

  • Knowledge of business controls, fraud strategies, claims operations, authentication strategies, fraud & claims reporting, forecasting processes, model development processes, claims platforms, loss forecasting.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$126,600.00 - $198,600.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
