SUMMARY
Responsible for reviewing residential mortgage loan applications to determine compliance with applicable rules, regulations, law, guidance, and documentation. Ensures proper delivery of mortgage loans to Secondary Market. Educates and updates the team around secondary market updates and changes. Handles new construction and construction draws for home loan processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintain an understanding of Secondary Market.
- Freddie Mac Secondary Administrator
- Sell loans to secondary market.
- Answer secondary market underwriting questions for all bank associates.
- Comply with and update the bank's loan policies and procedures.
- Quality control review in process home loans.
- Complete disbursements of residential mortgage loans to secondary market.
- Oversee and Communicate Secondary Market updates and changes to bank associates through development of training materials and scheduled sessions.
- Works with the F&M Training department to create and monitor training schedules for all Home Loan Department staff.
- Oversee Secondary Market Quality Control process. Complete missing items, research and submit appeals on repurchase requests, and work with operations to complete the repurchase process if necessary.
- Monitor and extend rate locks as needed.
- Oversee and Complete Secondary Market Modifications – Construction Conversions and Principal Curtailments.
- Oversees and perform construction draws and appraisal reviews
- Oversee and Monitor Gain on Sales for Secondary Market.
- Oversee, train and report out for Welcome Home process.
- Review and cancel PMI at borrower request
- Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulations that apply to position.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Is knowledgeable about the FMAC and other secondary investors’ underwriting requirements, working with tax returns and verification of employment, the lien process including reading the title process and reading a credit report.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
