Total Rewards Manager

BHcare is a Certified Behavioral Health Clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive services for individuals and families facing mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence challenges. The Total Rewards Manager will lead the design, implementation and administration of BHcare’s compensation and benefits programs. This position blends strategic insight with hands-on execution and will play a pivotal role in ensuring our Total Reward offerings are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our mission, values and culture to attract, retain, and engage top talent.

What you’ll do:

Benefit Management:

  • Serve as the primary expert and lead administration of health, welfare, and retirement programs.
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers, and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead annual open enrollment, communication campaigns, and employee education around benefit offerings.
  • Proactively monitor market trends and industry best practices, to ensure our benefit offerings remain competitive and relevant to our diverse workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and related regulations.

 

Compensation Management

  • Lead FLSA determinations and ensure wage/hour compliance.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to maintain competitive pay structures.
  • Manage salary grades, pay ranges, and job descriptions.
  • Partner with leadership and HR business partners to provide guidance on pay decisions, promotions and rewards.
  • Support equitable and budget-conscious compensation decisions.
  • Strategic and Operational Contributions
  • Provide insights and reporting on compensation and benefits to support business decisions.
  • Ensure total rewards programs comply with all federal, state and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain policies, documentation, and processes to meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • Support broader HR initiatives and projects.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in benefits, compensation, or total rewards roles.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, benefit administration, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Excel, and compensation/benefits tools.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
