JOB DESCRIPTION:
To provide clinical support services to Nursing Services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledge and demonstration of agency core values in day-to-day activities.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively use technology and appropriate use of support.
- Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention, and assistance during office visits
- Coordinating daily office activities, greeting individuals, and checking individuals in for their appointments
- Gathering data and documenting information in EMR and reporting any concerns to nursing leadership
- Obtaining and recording vital signs
- Drawing blood as needed, when fully trained to do so.
- Assist with managing medline calls, obtains necessary information for nursing staff to follow through clinically with the individuals needs
- Maintains contact with individuals to assure outcome of medline request are completed
- Maintains a central reference point for medline issues for updates/status changes
- Obtaining prior authorizations
- Obtains PMP documentation as needed for medication review
- Looking up HealtheLink documents as requested
- Performs clinical activities as assigned
- Performs data/spreadsheet, faxing, scanning etc for information flow
- Runs reports as requested by Nursing leadership
SKILLS:
- Strong commitment to the right and ability of each person with a severe and persistent mental illness to live in normal community residences; work and have access to helpful adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services.
- Must possess skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and respect for individual’s rights and personal preference in treatment are essential

- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Excel, Outlook, etc.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 year preferred
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record and possess a personal vehicle for job requirement.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATE:
- Applicable Certification/Degree in Medical Assisting Preferred but not required
COMPENSATION: $17.46/hr - $22.26/hr
