Position Summary

Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Human Resources Director will develop, direct, and coordinate human resources activities, including, but not limited to, recruitment, compensation, workers' compensation administration, benefit programs, labor relations, training and compensation, and risk management.

Job Responsibilities

As a key member of the Leadership Team, play an active role in developing and refining policies and procedures to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals, including ongoing evaluation and revision of performance management, leave management, organizational culture and engagement, structural alignments, recruitment, and training.

Prepare a variety of reports for both senior leadership and departmental teams, using information gathered from multiple quantitative and qualitative sources, continuously synthesizing and organizing incoming data into clear, actionable insights to support decision-making across all levels of the organization.

Play an integral role in organizational leadership by attending monthly board and leadership meetings to provide updates, contribute to decision-making processes, and ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

Ensure that TMWIHC remains in full compliance with all applicable federal and state employment regulations by proactively identifying and resolving compliance issues and coordinating with HR staff to deliver training across the organization when necessary.

Oversee all recruitment efforts to ensure that TMWIHC continues to attract high-quality candidates.

Provide oversight for performance management processes to support staff in meeting expectations and progressing effectively.

Manage all employee separation events to ensure they are handled in accordance with legal requirements and organizational best practices.

Qualifications


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Pattern I:

Master's degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.

At least 8 years of experience in HR with at least 5 years in a management/leadership role.

OR

Pattern II:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration.

At least 10 years of experience in HR with at least 5 years in a management/leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

PHR or SPHR certification.

Extensive analytical experience including use of HRIS/HRMS.

THRP certification.

Experience working in a Native American healthcare environment.

Physical Requirements

This position requires walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods; climbing stairs and step-stools; stooping, kneeling, crouching, balancing, and reaching; pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds; raising objects overhead; manual dexterity for operation of computers and phones; hearing, talking, and good verbal and written communication skills.

Repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers are involved. The employee may be subject to outside environmental conditions of heat and cold and walking on uneven ground.
