Position Description
position works in a busy, pressured environment and sees a high volume of patients, as needed by TTUHSC. This position is responsible for providing primary ambulatory medical care. This includes examination of patients, ordering x-rays and laboratory tests to help make an accurate diagnosis, and planning and execution of treatment. Travel Required
Major/Essential Functions
- Provides Gastroenterology in-patient care and in-patient consultation services.
- Supervises and teaches students,residents, and fellows in both in-patient and outpatient care.
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.

- Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes.

Preferred Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas
- Successful completion of ACGME-accredited residency training in Internal Medicine
- Successful completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine Board certification in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Experience teaching Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows
- Bilingual (English and Spanish
- Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
