Qualifications and requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant Program or equivalent required. 

Job Summary: Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area. Job Requirements: Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Minimum Work Experience: Previous medical experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Licenses: Must be actively enrolled in a Certified Medical Assistant program. Essential Functions: Under the supervision of a nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments. Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given. Incorporates critical thinking skills when performing patient care and assessments. Shows awareness of a patient's concerns related to the procedure being performed. Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly. Performs other duties as assigned.
