- Fait Distribution is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of IT to lead our technology transformation and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture within our IT department. This role is critical to our distribution center operations, as we migrate from legacy systems to modern platforms that support innovation, scalability, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to drive change in complex environments. They will be responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, improving cross-functional collaboration, and cultivating a positive, solutions-oriented team culture.
Responsibilities: include the following, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a strategic partner to operations, marketing, sales, HR, finance, and other departments to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
- Lead migration from legacy systems to a modern, scalable technology infrastructure.
- Support CTO to develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap aligned with operational and business objectives.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, data integrity, and customer experience.
- Inspire and lead a team of technically skilled professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Address and transform negative team dynamics into a cohesive, high-performing unit.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.
- Act as a liaison between IT and external customers, ensuring technical solutions support customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Oversee IT operations, including help desk, infrastructure, applications, software, etc.
- Manage IT budgets, contracts, and resource allocation effectively.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Ensure adequate disaster recovery and business continuity procedures are developed and regularly tested.
- Maintain and monitor compliance for all IT system with all relevant privacy, security, and regulatory obligations, including internal policies and external standards (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, SOC2), and proactively address emerging compliance risks.
- Assist in any task requested by either the direct team leader or any person in management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally in a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading system migrations and digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong technical knowledge across infrastructure, software development, ERP systems, and cybersecurity.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of transforming team culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Improving the System:
All Associates are responsible for documenting and fixing problems within the system. In addition, this role is responsible for improving project participation, planning, communicating and implementing solutions where possible.
Personal Improvement:
Fait will provide resources and support, relevant to the position, for education and training as needed. It is the Associate’s responsibility to seek approval, schedule, and participate in education and/or training that will prepare him/her for present and future needs. A post-training recap may be required.
