Licensed Mental Health Professional - Bilingual Counselor en Telluride School District R-1

SALARY RANGE:  $30,000 - $40,000

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Documentation of education/certifications/work experience
Colorado certification or a closely related field and a Master’s degree preferred
Valid Colorado driver’s license

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides individual and small group counseling services that support academic and social / emotional development
• Conducts initial assessments of student' situation to determine needs and goals
• Manages 504 plans
• Researches and advocates for appropriate public assistance resources for students
• Provides crisis intervention as needed
• Facilitates problem-solving and conflict resolution
• Ensures that all case files, and other records, strictly comply with policies, regulations, and procedures
• Collaborates with administrators, parents/guardians, staff, and community partners regarding student needs and concerns
• Collaborates with administrators, parents/guardians, staff, and students to develop and implement academic and/or behavior plans and interventions. 
•  Demonstrates a commitment to understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity; 
• Includes and engages families in the student’s education;   
• Supports all school district policies, procedures, and expectations; 
• Actively participates in department, team, building, and district meetings and discussions; student and/or family conferences and other meetings; and professional growth opportunities.
